Ja’Mel Ashely Ware is a transman from Detroit, MI. His life has taken him down an unconventional path of eclectic experiences. His mother taught him the importance of community, smart work, and resilience. These values resonated with Ja’Mel and through his academic journey at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, he relentlessly pursued a degree in Social Work. As he continued to explore the concept of community and diversity, Ja’Mel started brainchild Intellectual Ratchet (IR). Intellectual Ratchet’s vision transforms culture into experiences.

Through his entrepreneurial work Ja’Mel found many organizations lacked the vision to harness a culture of inclusion. So, Ja’Mel worked with them to develop a culture comprehensive of their internal goals. This work became his passion.

As a Project Manager, Ja’Mel follows ideas from conception through production. He approaches all of his tasks with a calm-rational demeanor allowing him to connect with diverse communities. His visions and experiences provide companies with insights to continue their growth. Ja’Mel is true to his personality as an INTJ. As an ‘architect’ he is a self-directed strategist who’s spatial thinking continuously allows him to solve blocks that prevent brands from reaching their targeted demographics. Ja’Mel has efficiently and effectively assisted organizations in achieving their internal goals by utilizing his compassionate spirit and resilience to challenge status quo allowing projects to explore the depths of cultures, bridging gaps between brand and consumer.

Ja’Mel is centered through his faith in God and the works of the Universe, this greatly influences his personal life and career. Throughout the week, Ja’Mel can be found uplifting his peers through mediation and prayer-and welcomes all opportunities to support others.
